Monadnock Marauders Football
Marauders start the 2008 season with a big win!
The Monadnock Marauders opened their 2008 season with a 61-0 victory of the first year Green Mountain Mud Dogs. Running back Jason Bevis took the second offensive play of the game in for his first touchdown of the day; he put in a total of 4.
The scoring was well distributed by the Marauders including 2 touchdowns for running back Colin Snide, 1 touchdown for rookie fullback Andrew Epps. The Marauders defense participated in the scoring when LB Dan Blood returned an interception for a touchdown. The Marauders special teams made their contributions as well with a punt returned for a touchdown by tight end Brandon Bennett.
While the Marauders offense seemed unstoppable, the defense was immovable. The Marauders defense gave up only 2 first downs in their first appearance of the year.
Be sure to come watch your Marauders as they face the Southern Vermont Storm, this Saturday at Monadnock Regional High school at 6pm.
